Zoo Lights
We went to zoo lights last night. It was AWESOME!
Here is what my magic glasses made me see. That's right, those are snowmen on the lights! So cool!
And since it was night time the animals were sleeping. Here is a turkey on a sign. Weird turkey!
Here I am getting eaten by a hippo.
Here are the cute Hazel and the cute Tay.
And finally, here is Meadow dancing my favorite dance.
My Christmas Present
Now you guys are probably like, um you already had that bike, but if you look close you can see I now have a trainer holding up my back wheel, which means my lovely bike is now a stationary bike! WOO HOO! I have three levels of resistance and a block for the front tire with three levels, so I can pretend I am climbing hills. SO EXCITED!
Plus my bike tires are so awesome in that picture!
oh and now you are probably thinking, "dude you said you were in a steps contest, how does a bike help?" Well we have a conversion for biking to steps, so there.
Here are some pictures of KPP, she is cute. In the first one she is trying to get me to pet her, because I had just gotten home. In the second, she is meowing at me to pet her, but you cannot hear her meow, so it kind of looks like she is smiling (or ready to bite).
GNO!

FINALS ARE OVER*
Last night as I was throwing my clothes in my closet, KPP jumped in and before I could grab her she disappeared, so I just closed the door. But I HATE her being in there, so five minutes later I went to find her and get her out and this is where I found her.
She was quite content, in fact she was purring, which she never does when I am taking pictures. But I guess being nestled by sweaters, a tutu in a bag, games and a bear bum makes her happy.

Laundry
KPP stakes her claim
Settles in
She is so cute while sleeping, how can I disturb her?
Note, that the layer of clothes she is sleeping on is different, so in the time it took me to hang up my pants she has settled back in
Now I love my kitty, but I HATE! cat hair, so it makes me crazy that she loves to sleep on my clean clothes. Granted, she only likes to sleep on them when they are in the basket and not when I have some stacked on top of my dresser, so I guess I should be glad for that and for the fact that she can't open my closet door!

Halloween
So here is my costume. I also had a clue, because I like to make people guess what I am, but as it was weird, I needed a clue.
(the clue says "The doctor says I'm lazy.")
Oh and the eye may not look that impressive, but in my defense it was really hard to figure out how to make and I burned my finger on hot glue. But thanks to Geoff we got them made. And it is a really wide eye, because I had to fit my HUGE head in it : ) I really wanted to make it a googly eye, but that was even harder to do, because I didn't have time to find the supplies I needed. Next year I will start sooner...

Hazel
Here is Hazel ready to go. She seems to rather enjoy riding in my car, I think because it is something different. Here is Miss Hazel enjoying the bounce house. I must say that Liam's party was the best I have been to in a while. There is nothing like a bounce house! Plus the ice cream was so yummy. Here is Hazel in a party hat. I especially like that it looks like she only has one ponytail, when in fact she had two. Here is the cute cute cute Liam and the equally cute Hazel. This was right after she kissed him good-bye (two cheeks), but I missed that and when we tried to recreate, I missed again. But Mary said she got one, so check her blog for the kiss picture.
This is also right after a kiss. Hazel's tongue had been out all day, but I think this one is especially funny.
This is not at the party, but I think it is a funny picture because Nacho just looks a little annoyed, but she put up with it, because it got her petted. And of course I must have a picture of KPP, so here she is on what Meadow refers to as my "stripper" blanket.

27 years, 2 months, and 8 days in the making
I got 4 pillows, but I don't like the red with the green, so I am going to have to get some covers for them. : (
OH and I got a foot rest. I am using it for toy storage. Now I can have kids come visit.*
* Man, I am glad Ikea moved to town, even though it has lost some of its cool, because now everyone can shop there.
**Okay so I have had kids visit in the past, but they insisted with playing with KPP's toys, and we all know how KPP feels about sharing.

Candy Corn and Kitty PotPie
But as she is a kitty after my own heart, she realized that it was a waste of a yummy candy and had to drink the water. (Note: I did change the water right after the pictures were taken.)
Bruises
Stupid bruises. I also got a nice one on my heel from falling off some of Geoff's landscaping rocks. But unlike the the HUGE bruise, this one actually hurts : (

Ways to Avoid Homework
Now one could say "Jenni, haven't you been in school long enough to know that you shouldn't wait until the night before (or day of, as I am fond of doing homework then as well) to do your homework?" and to those people I would say "Yes, but I am also good at finding other things to do."
For instance, after work today I went to dinner with the girls from the office, then when I came home I noticed that I was not going to make my 10,000 steps for the day, so I went on a 30 minute walk. Then when I got home I checked my email and now I am blogging. Thank you Blogger for providing another distraction from homework.
Anyways, when I go on walks, I walk around my neighborhood and look houses and plants and I try to walk on different streets so I don't get bored. And on my walk today I saw some topiaries, one was a bird with its wings spread, another looked like a bear head and the third was not filled in, so I couldn't tell what it was, but they were cool. Then I saw a dad helping his young young son into a giant tree, it was pretty funny (not a topiary, actual people). And when I was like 2 blocks from home I saw the prettiest garage door. That's right I said garage door. It was wooden and nicely varnished and shiny and clean. And since I was staring at it so intently I just about missed the lady that lived in the house turning on the sprinklers, and when I did notice her I felt stupid so then I had to comment so I told her that her garage door was very pretty and that I liked it a lot, she laughed and said thanks and said that she worked hard on it. So now I just imagine this little old lady (who was dressed in a nice dress with pearls) polishing her garage door. bah ha ha. I will have to get a picture of the door, it really was quite nice. But not today, because after all I do have homework to do. (plus I got my 10,000 steps)
And now an artsy picture of KPP.

Busy Busy
So let's start from August 11th. The CAST event was on the 11th. CAST stands for Catch a Special Thrill and is an event that takes disadvantaged and disabled kids fishing. It is a super fun event! This year I carpooled up with Enrique, Tamaran and John. Here is a picture of Enrique looking suave by Rockport Reservoir.
And last Thursday, I got to go to dinner with a bunch of friends, in honor of Maha being in town. Here is a cute picture of Maha, her hubby and her darling little girl. (I would try spelling their names, but I would butcher them, sorry Maha.) Missing from the picture is her very, very cute, but VERY shy little boy. For those of you who don't know, I went to school with Maha and she moved to Kuwait after graduation (something about wanting to live with her husband), so it had been over a year since I had seen her, so it was awesome to hang out for the night. And it was also nice to see the other people that showed up as I haven't seen most of them since graduation either.
On Saturday the 18th, my team competed in the city chase event (photo scavenger hunt) for the Salt Lake County Corporate Games. My team consisted of me (duh), Tamaran, Tiffany, and Andrea (L-R). We TOTALLY won gold. It was close but the team that finished first, missed one picture, so my team won, because we were AWESOME and got them all correct. And to add insult to injury, I told the last place team (3 teams in my division) where they could get their last picture, so they got them all correct and knocked the other team to last place. oops, sorry. bah ha ha ha
When reviewing all my pictures I noticed that I have HORRIBLE posture, must work on that : ) Unfortunately this was the best picture of the bunch (what does that tell you???)
On Saturday, I also went to Mary's for a BBQ. It was very fun, even though I only knew a handful of people. But I did get to see Mary's awesome backyard (nice work Jeremy) and how big and cute Liam has gotten.
And now what you all have been waiting for...pictures of KPP. Here is KPP enjoying the box that my birthday present from my brother and his family came in. Dang, that kitty loves boxes.
And here is KPP enjoying the hydrodynamic building set Samuel, April, Ben and Zoe (my bro and fam) gave me. It is an AWESOME present. And KPP really liked drinking out of it.
oh and also this week, school started. yeah? I have two classes this semester, Groundwater, and Ecological Systems & Engineering. They both seem like they will be really good classes, but very work intensive :( Also, with the start of school, comes a crazy work schedule...good thing I graduate in 254 days. WOO HOO!
