Today marks the first day I biked to work. It was great. Okay, so it was a little cold and a little dark, BUT I did better than I thought I would. I anticipated it taking 30 minutes, which I don't think it EVER took me that long last year, but the logic of a sleep deprived person is not that great. My trip to work took 23 minutes. WOO HOO!! And my max speed was 83.2 mph*. On the way home, it took 15 minutes to get to TRAX, 15 minutes to get to my stop, 10 minutes to get to the library and then 45 minutes in the library and ~10 minutes home, so not bad at all. And on my way home my max speed was 96.8 MPH*
The best part of my trip was when I was walking out of the library and it started to HAIL! A couple pieces of it hit my face. It really hurt!
Now I just have 51 more bike-to-work days and my goal for the summer will be complete. (52 days of biking for the summer is based on reducing my driving by 1 day a week)
*I think my new bike computer may have an issue! Though my average speed was 11 mph, which seems about right for the first real ride of the year, so whatever. My old pedometer had my max speed as like 50mph, so it must just be a bike computer thing.

It is a good thing you did not see a policeman with your flying down the road between 83 and 96mph!!
Way to go on the bike riding.
Can spring be far away if the bikes are out?
