Here is my short recap and my points I awarded myself:
- Get my house "company clean" and keep it at that level. – hmm, I completed this about half the time. I don’t know why this is so hard for me, it shouldn’t be, but it is. – 0.5 points
- Exercise 2-3 times a week. – ya, I did really well for a while and then slacked off a LOT! – 0.4 points
- Walk Nova 4 times a week. – Um, totally failed! Poor doggy. – 0 points
- Pack and take a lunch 2-3 times a week. – Now, I didn’t pack my lunch, but I went home at least 3 times a week for lunch. - 0.9 points
- Make my own breakfast 4/5 work days a week. – I totally rocked this goal! – 1 point
- Track expenses and spending for January. Find a way to save at least $200/month – Epic fail :( - 0 points
- Read 60 books. – WHOOT! I read 62 as of today! And that doesn’t include books read to kids or books read for work - 1 point
- Write in my journal at least once a week. – meh, mostly fail – 0.1 points
- Ride my bike to work 87 times. – SUPER EPIC FAIL! – 0 points
- Take the stairs at work. – I did okay – 0.5 points
- Secret plan – I did better than I expected, so I am giving myself full credit – 1 point
Now, I am still deciding my goals for 2011, but I can tell you now they will be weight loss heavy (and probably similar to my failed goals of this year). My BMI is over the obese level (barely, really, just barely), which means I qualified for the Waist Aweigh program (fat camp) offered through my insurance. That means that as long as I lose 1 BMI point (~7 lbs) every 60 days, they will reimburse me $50-$100 towards me reaching that goal. This means the gym membership that I have had for 2+ years, will now essentially be free, which is extra awesome, since the County just extended it to be unlimited to every SLCo Rec Center. YAHOO! Free water aerobics! Oh and other benefits of the fat camp is that when I get my BMI to less than 25 I will get $100, and if I maintain it for 6 months I get another $100, and I get a coach to help me waist aweigh...bah ha ha
So wish me luck on my journey to be a healthier-skinnier-less winded Jenni in 2011! And stay tuned for my 2011 goals : )
Now for pictures of the pets! (sorry they are blurry, they were from my phone, uploaded to picasa and then linked, next time I won't be so lazy, but if you click on them they are clear)

Now that it is over, what was your secret goal??? Was it to get fish?
Congrats on your goal making/accomplishing and on turning 30! Woo!
Maybe have fewer goals next year. Or choose only one thing to focus on. Says the woman with no goals.
Fewer goals mean less to accomplish. I think I had a nice mix of hard-medium-easy goals. But thanks for the advice lady, err woman with no goals.
And the secret goal will continue, so it will not be divulged just yet.
I did not set goals and thus did not blow any. Well maybe my goal was to get an average of 10,000 steps. Rocked most months, blew it in December. Way to go on the goals you accomplished. You need another bike rider at work to challenge you.
What? You get to use the Rec Centers now? What a crap... I quit at the wrong time... though, I say that from the comfort of my own home at this very moment.
